34th Territory Freshwater Fly Fishing Open (TFWFFO)

The 34th Territory Freshwater Fly Fishing Open is being held on Saturday and Sunday the 22nd-24th May 2026. The competition will be held on the iconic Corroboree Billabong, with over 50 kilometres of navigable waters.

PLEASE NOTE: The date has been pushed back due to seasonal flooding in the area and access to the Billabong. 

Each angler will receive a competition shirt (when ordered by cut-off date) and goody bag on the first night. Dinner on Saturday evening and finger food at the final presentation is included in the fees. All anglers go in to a lucky draw and will receive a prize. 

Teams of 2 people will target premier species barramundi and saratoga, earning double points. Points for length are also awarded to :

• tarpon
• sleepy cod
• long tom
• catfish

Competition brief: Friday 8pm

Fishing times:

• Saturday 7am - 5pm (scores in)
• Sunday 7am - 1pm (scores in),

Final presentation: Sunday afternoon

Accommodation

Accommodation is available at Corroboree Park Tavern, our wonderful sponsors. Accommodation options include:

• family cabin (2 rooms) - air conditioned
• container room (double) - air conditioned
• pub room/nurse quarter demountable (double or singles) - air conditioned
• camping

Cost

Teams of 2 anglers, cost is per angler.

Entries received after the 30th March may not receive a competition shirt due to supply chain and logistics.
